The medicine of song has carried us through our greatest defeats and deepest losses, and lifted us in celebration of our most powerful milestones and victories. It has stirred our souls in the form of ballads and laments, dirges and hymns, jingles and anthems, serenades and lullabies.
It has crept beneath our skin, helping us transform – shedding old layers, shifting shape. It has haunted us, yes, but only to help us befriend every nook and cranny within. Each corner. Each landscape. Each peak and abyss.
The songs that have touched us most have carved paths through jungles of challenge and storms of turmoil – especially when we felt lost. They’ve built bridges across the abysses of hurt and heartache, when we were torn inside. Songs offer passage through the emotions we face. They give us a rite of release – through allowing, feeling, and embracing. They invite us to feel, to express, to experience. To observe, to understand, to accept.

Each one of them has a warm nest in your subconscious. And when you hear them again, 𝓉𝒽𝑒𝓎 𝓇𝑒𝓂𝑒𝓂𝒷𝑒𝓇 𝓎𝑜𝓊.Your soul remembers them. Your body remembers them. Familiar moments rise like echoes when a song from your past reappears. They tingle your skin. They shake your soul. They come like waves. What was feels like just yesterday, even if decades have passed.
When you remember and reclaim the songs that helped you heal, grow, release, and celebrate, you reconnect with your musical cosmology. You sweep dust from distant corners of your being. You allow yourself to feel it all… and eventually, to receive it all.
For that reason, dare to know your songs. Dare to summon your songs. Dare to honour your songs.
Dare to hold them close and let them cure you. Let them take you on a journey into what you haven’t yet dared to feel. Into what you’ve resisted, fearing it might break you. Trust your songs. Follow your songlines. Walk by them. Walk with them.
Let them show you who you are – and what still waits inside, still held, still sealed, still longing to be felt. Your songs know. Let them guide you. They know the way through.
Therefore, walk gently, wildly, bravely – with the soles of your being pressed to your songlines.
And know this: they’ve never left you.
